About Claire Thomas
My clients are terrific people—smart, dedicated, inspired—and they do great work. They believe communicating well isn’t an end unto itself; it serves a much bigger purpose. And their vision of a better world is what inspires me to work so hard.
Claire has devoted more than 15 years to planning, creating, writing, and delivering communications that connect with various audiences and motivate action. She works with clients to help them find their voice, strategically deliver their messages, and shout their impact story. The result is distinction among the competition and loyalty from donors, members and customers. Claire specializes in fundraising communications; web and online marketing; direct mail; and branding. She is an award-winning photographer, published author, and frequent speaker on the topics of strategic messaging, conveying impact, and creating high-impact annual reports.
Featured Accomplishment
As Freedom from Hunger's external communications and fundraising specialist, Claire guided the organization through its re-branding process, raised over $22 million, and created compelling communications for a variety of audiences on topics such as international development, microfinance, women's empowerment, and public health.
